I transcribe recorded music.
This means that, when you send me a recording in any format, I can write what is being played fast and accurately and process it as a score with individual parts or a leadsheet, as requested.
The final product will be sent to you as printable PDF within a mutually agreed timespan.
I specialize in transcriptions of music, played by bigger ensembles, bigband and orchestra. For instance when a recording does exist but written score and parts are lost.
I hear in a natural way in an ensemble or orchestra what each instrument [or instrumental group] plays. This of course, only if it is audibly present in the recording, otherwise part of it might need reconstruction or arranging.
I have much expertise in the field of transcriptions and apply my wide concert experience to different styles of music: classical symphony orchestra, jazz-, latin- and rockbands, studio and music theatre. I have absolute pitch, which enables me to work very fast and effectively.
Included is also arranging for a different instrumental/vocal line-up, if needed for your performance
It is not possible to name a general hourly rate without first hearing the music. I generally go the most practical way: I listen, discuss details and the customer’s wishes and give you a fixed price-offer in advance.
Of course, author’s and publisher’s rights are being respected.
I create my work in Dorico.
Handwritten scores and files on various media can also be processed and made ready for performance.
